Wait a minute, I thought VP1 was a print journal. What gives?

You're mostly right. VP1 was originally developed as a print journal. After the Oracle acquisition of PeopleSoft, our business model was rocked, and we realized we needed to migrate to an online platform to more quickly deliver our content. During our print days, it would take upwards of sixty days from the time an author submitted an article until it was in front of our subscribers. Now it takes as little as 72 hours. This nimbleness is now a strength in disseminating critical information to an evolving projects around the globe.

VP1 was born from a PeopleSoft background – is it still relevant?

Of course – just as your project is still relevant to your organization. VP1 is transitioning along with everyone else. Our refined editorial focus emphasizes how different companies are leveraging the changed landscape into gains.

Why did VP1 pause publishing?

Oracle's acquisition of PeopleSoft proved quite disruptive to our business model. Coupled with rising printing and shipping costs, this industry sea change forced many VP1 contributors to reassess their priorities. Our contributors largely focused on their day jobs, as they should have. The option to continue publishing was on the table, but the output would not have been on par with the quality VP1 is known for.

Rather than spin substandard articles to simply fill pages, we decided to suspend publishing until the market stabilized. During that pause, we were afforded the opportunity to revise our delivery model, which resulted in delivering more value at a lower cost for all subscribers. We trust you'll agree that it was worth the wait.

What is included with a subscription to VP1?

VP1 publishes 4-5 feature articles per month, along with regular interviews, editorials, and industry news. In addition to access to all new content, subscribers are granted access to our entire article archive, dating back to 2003. If you see it on the site, our subscribers have access to it.

How much is a subscription?

A one-year subscription is $199. Or you can save fifty bucks with a two-year subscription for $349.

Can I pay with a check?

Yes. Please contact support@vp1online.com for remittance information. Once your payment has been processed, you will be e-mailed with a pre-paid subscription code.

I've decided VP1 isn't for me – how can I get a refund?

Simple. Send us a note indicating your dissatisfaction and we will issue you a refund for the unused portion of your subscription.

What is a subscription code?

Subscription codes are a simple way for us to issue pre-paid subscription credits. Typically they are used for two groups of people: former print subscribers who had subscription credits remaining, and group subscribers.

I was a VP1 print subscriber, but never received a letter with my subscription code. Who do I contact?

Please accept our apologies. Letters with subscription codes were mailed at the end of December 2006 to the last address we had on file for you. We are happy to assist you via email. Please drop us a note at support@vp1online.com with your name, company name, and address and we'll send your code over ASAP.
