Tell us what's new with Stat 5.0.

Stat ACM 5.0 delivers several new change management capabilities to PeopleSoft customers. Stat ACM 5.0 includes expanded database object support for user-defined data objects and schema objects. Stat ACM 5.0 also supports the compare and merge of these database objects to further reduce the time required to retrofit changes when reapplying customizations during a patch application or upgrade. Also new in Stat ACM 5.0 is the Undocumented Patch Wizard, which automatically locates patches previously applied to environments and documents them in the Stat repository.

Much of your current Stat marketing exhorts its ability to manage the never ending flow of PeopleSoft patches. How exactly does Stat manage this process?

It's common for a patch to affect files that may seem unrelated to it. With unlimited time and resources, one could manually analyze the impact of a patch, object by object. Obviously, this is not feasible. PeopleSoft cannot know the customizations that exist in each company's development, test and production environments; therefore, it is incumbent upon each company's patch application team to determine the customized objects that may be impacted. Stat ACM turns the manual process of applying patches into a repeatable, reliable process that enforces best practices and eliminates downtime resulting from bad patches.
